What you got if you aint got love?
The kind that you just wanna give away
It's okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through
I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out
And just be left alone
Don't run out on your faith
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searching for forever,
Is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters, after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small
It's so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big, at the time
It's like a river that's so wide
It swallows you whole
While you're sittin round thinking about what you can't change
And worryin' about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count, cause you can't get it back
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searchin for forever
Is in your hands
Oh, When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
What you've been out there searchin for forever
Is in your hands
Oh, When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Oh it sure makes everything else
Seem so small
- SO all the girls from First Girls are leaving, and the university year is coming to a close. It will be unbearable to be away from so many beautiful people in Harper for 4 months...:(
This song makes me realize that this year was only the first of many with these people...and it made me realize alot about myself -- that I can struggle through school and still succeed, and still make friends, and still manage to attempt awesomeness through achieving simple things.
It is every small thing everyday that makes the memories! It is the loss of one thing that makes us realize we want it most!
I am excited for summer, but I will likely be more excited to be back here in September!
:'( it's a sad day. Let pathetic fallacy strike. Let the tears come, BRING IT ON!
:O Year 1 is only two exams away from being over!!!

Also, here's the Numbers 12 (4th book, 12th chapter):
Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses
1 Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. 2 "Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?" they asked. "Hasn't he also spoken through us?" And the LORD heard this.
3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
4 At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, "Come out to the Tent of Meeting, all three of you." So the three of them came out. 5 Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the Tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them stepped forward, 6 he said, "Listen to my words:
"When a prophet of the LORD is among you,
I reveal myself to him in visions,
I speak to him in dreams.
7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my house.
8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the LORD.
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?"
9 The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them.
10 When the cloud lifted from above the Tent, there stood Miriam—leprous, [a] like snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had leprosy; 11 and he said to Moses, "Please, my lord, do not hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. 12 Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother's womb with its flesh half eaten away."
13 So Moses cried out to the LORD, "O God, please heal her!"
14 The LORD replied to Moses, "If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back." 15 So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on till she was brought back.
16 After that, the people left Hazeroth and encamped in the Desert of Paran.

Anyways, I don't know what I conclude from this, but it's interesting, and just plain NEAT/ Fun.

Happy Easter!
"And you asked me what I want this year and I try to make this kind and clear just a chance that maybe we'll find better day 'cause I don't need boxes wrapped in strings and designer love and empty things just a chance that maybe we'll find better days. So take these words and sing out loud 'cause everyone is forgiven now 'cause tonight's the night the world begins again. I need some place simple where we could live and something only you can give and that's faith and trust and peace while we're alive and the one poor child who saved this world and there's ten million more who probably could if we all just stopped and said a prayer for them. So take these words and sing out loud 'cause everyone is forgiven now, 'cause tonight's the night the world begins again. I wish everyone was loved tonight and somehow stop this endless fight just a chance that maybe we'll find better days. So take these words and sing out loud 'cause everyone is forgiven now 'cause tonight's the night the world begins again 'cause tonight's the night the world begins again." -BETTER DAYS, Goo Goo Dolls.
Happy Easter to you in the world.
TO everyone who doesn't believe in the power and meaning behind this day, I pray you will soon come to understand. but more than that I hope you will help a friend, or help a stranger; or take a moment to live a little. laugh a little. be free. Because you are. you are forgiven for anything you have ever done by jesus, and you are now free to BE.
From an unlikely prophet I was welcomed into the truth. The Goo Goo Dolls came up on my stereo and I thought, wow, I didn't know they were Christian. but then I realized even if that's not true, the message is the same: that everyone is forgiven now, and it is our chance for renewal. Christmas: take two, perhaps. It is a rebirth of life in the world. We are set free from the dirth and dirge of the Lenten season. The flowers spring up (or the snow blankets the earth in some places...) and we are reminded of the glorious emergence of the holy son in supreme power and might.
This song is absoultely perfect for this day, it is about renewal, second chances and HOPE in the power of the people, not in the isolated power of the One. He has given us the same home, and the same power to set others free. It is a good day, because we are allowed to recognize the beauty in the world, and that from every torturous moment, there is an exodus, a revelation of a hopeful future. :D
Thank you God, and the Goo Goo Dolls.
Hallelujah.

Working on Love. The (re)building of the self.
It is not good to cherish the broken, but it is best to rejoice in the benefits of the pieces.
It will not bring peace to hold onto what is wrong, but it is most righteous to understand correction.
It is not the shattered which brings instant solutions, but the entire process of nurturing the potential of healing which becomes Love.
-Judi Keefe. 10:16 April 6th, 2009.
I would also like to share the memorial FB post for Courtney Neil (who passed away on the 29th of March, 2009. I wrote this in minutes, and though I never really knew Courtney as a friend, she was the first person who I had met and known to some extent that has passed away. I am very sorry for any one who knew her more closely. And I am blown away at how much emotion and grief I feel for someone whom I was never overly friendly with. I suppose this is the majesty of God's spirit, that we all share a common humanity through the common spirit running through us. here it is. I will never doubt the power of human emotion again...
"Such a fantastic picture, of a girl with so much potential and some misunderstandings and a few wrong turns. I'm sorry Courtney for being distant when you were calling out for a friend. May you forever rest in the peace and happiness you so rightfully deserved here on earth.
Blessed be your soul by the Father in Heaven.
I miss you, and all that you would have been.
I'll see you in that parade of angels, past the dark side of the moon, beyond the worst emotions of the world. May you be remembered by all those you so gently touched."
Love, and God bless. I know I don't say it alot, but the thrust of spring crocuses through the frozen ground is enough to crack open the soul of the most doubting sinner; The spirit of God is mighty and eager.
